Petrol pumps to remain shut on October 13

PANAJI: Petrol pumps dealers in Goa have decided to shut shop for a day on October 13 in support of the call for a nation-wide strike given by United Petroleum Front.
The petrol dealers are aggrieved because oil marketing companies have not paid heed to their demands despite repeated assurances.
Earlier also, the petrol dealers had complained that their margin on the sale of every litre of petrol and diesel is too low.
On several occasions, in the past, OMCs have given assurance to petrol dealers that their demands would be met. But, it appears that these demands have still not been taken care of.
