Phal Dessai reaffirms Sanguem commitment

SANGUEM

Social Welfare Minister and Sanguem MLA Subhash Phal Dessai has reaffirmed his commitment to the constituency amid discussions over possible changes in reservation and demands for Scheduled Tribe (ST) reservation.

Reacting to concerns raised by supporters during a gathering outside his residence, Phal Dessai said he remained a disciplined BJP worker and would continue serving the party and the people of Sanguem irrespective of future political developments.

He stressed that his association with Sanguem was not dependent on holding the MLA’s post. Even between 2017 and 2022, when he was not an MLA, he continued working for the constituency and stood by residents, including during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Phal Dessai said the trust placed in him by the people over the past 15 years would be honoured and asserted that he would continue working for the BJP and strive for its victory, irrespective of any change in the constituency’s reservation status.
