The State government has decided to exempt physically challenged candidates from the mandatory 'typing test' in recruitment processes to fill positions in its workforce.
A notice to this effect was issued by the government last week.
This exemption from undergoing a typing test for physically challenged candidates will be available for the positions of lower division clerk (LDC), junior stenographer and office assistant.
The exemption however will be available only to those who have been certified by the State Medical Board as being incapable of typing.
