Social Welfare Minister Subhash Phaldesai on Thursday said the government scheme to the pilgrim centres has evoked tremendous response from the citizens of the State.
Flagging off the fourth pilgrim train heading to Tirupathi, the Minister said not a single complaint has been received from the pilgrims, who have headed to Tirupathi and Vailankani by the chartered trains.
“We are happy that the scheme is running successfully with people now responding to the travel to the pilgrim centres,” he said while thanking Chief Minister Pramod Sawant for unveiling the scheme for the citizens of Goa.
Margao MLA Digambar Kamat said the pilgrim scheme has been getting good response from the people, even as he complimented the government headed by Sawant for coming out with the scheme for the benefit of the people.
