Plants at kabrastan site charred, arson suspecte

However, it could not be confirmed if the fire had originated at the dry grass and later spread to the thick vegetation.
Convenor of Amchem Ghanv, Amcho Lok, Felix Dias, along with the group opposing the kabrastan rushed to the site on Sunday upon hearing the news that some plants and trees on the hillock were found in a burnt condition.
Felix said the group will meet again at the site on Monday and demand action against the miscreants
involved in the mischief. “We will consider lodging a police complaint with a plea to the police to nab the culprits involved in the mischief,” Felix said.
Replying to a question, he could not state whether the fire occurred during last night or the incident had taken place a couple of days ago. He however said that he suspected someone had lit the fire on the hillock with ulterior motives.
