According to sources, residents from Pernem taluka don't get hearse van on time, due to which they have to depend on private hearse vehicles.
Only one hearse van is serving the 20 panchayats and one municipal council in Pernem taluka, but people do not get its service due the lack of maintenance.
MLA Sopte has urged PMC to maintain their vehicles on regular basis. "Not only hearse van, but many vehicles of PMC are stranded due to the lack of maintenance. PMC should take cognizance of the issue," he said. "People of Pernem taluka are facing a lot of inconvenience as they cannot get hearse van service. PMC and government should give serious attention to the matter and solve the issue," demanded Sopte.
