An electric pole beside the main road at Nirankal collapsed late on Friday night, disrupting the electricity supply in the area. On Saturday morning, after receiving reports from the public, electricity department staff moved the pole to the side of the road and cleared it for traffic. Vehicles were diverted via the Dharbandora route.
Later on Saturday morning, traffic on the Ponda-Dabal road came to a halt due to a large tree falling in front of the Gananath temple. The Ponda fire brigade quickly arrived and removed the tree.
