The Fatorda police has commenced investigations into the episode at the polling booth at Fatorda wherein a woman was caught by an election official for clicking a photograph while casting their vote.

The Fatorda police has registered a FIR under section 188 IPC & Section 128, 132 Of the Representation of Peoples, Act 1951 at the Fatorda Police Station.

Fatorda Lady Police Sub-inspector Riyanka Naik has summoned a person for investigations in order to ascertain facts and circumstances from the person as the person was performing duty at the polling booth in question.

Tension rent the polling booth at Fatorda on Polling day after Goa Forward Chief Vijai Sardesai demanded action against the woman voter who had clicked a photograph while exercising her franchise. Sardesai had alleged that the woman was pressurized by ruling politicians to click photograph while casting her vote as an evidence if she wanted a transfer from Panjim to Margao. The police is investigating.
