Police revisit site

OLD GOA: An Old Goa police team on Wednesday revisited the site where the body of priest-turned-activist Bismarque Dias was found at St Estevam.

Some villagers also remained present while the police conducted investigations at the site.

The police also interrogated the person who was mentioned in the complaint by Dias and further investigations are in progress.

Sources informed that the police have also recorded statement of a family member and will take statements of the remaining members on Thursday.

Meanwhile, an activist German D'Mello informed The Goan that the viscera is yet to leave for Hyderabad.

“The family members and activists met Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar in this connection and he has assured to direct officials concerned to expedite the matter,” said D'Mello.
