In the wake of continuous drug seizures and Sodiem Siolim gram sabha alleging the prevalence of drugs, the Goa Forward Party (GFP) suggested that Goa police should book a suo-motu case.
“The Sarpanch has alleged that their repeated letters to the concerned authorities are not acted upon. There is a huge prevalence of drugs in these areas,” party vice president Durgadas Kamat said on Tuesday.
The party leader was reacting to the gram sabha meeting on Sunday wherein the members alleged that school children were exploited by drug peddlers and hit out at the Mapusa police, ANC and panchayat for not taking drug trafficking seriously.
