Police warn protesters not to create a law, order situation

Warning the protesters not to take law in their hands as it would force police to initiate legal action, Mormugao DySP Salim Shaikh assured the residents a joint meeting with Vasco MLA Krishna Salkar, Mormugao MLA Sankalp Amonkar and other authorities would be convened to address the issue.

"We have met the leaders and spoke to them and we will meet the Mormugao and Vasco MLAs to take up this issue with the department concerned. We will also speak to RTO and find a solution to the issue so that people are not inconvenienced and there is no law and order situation.”

“We have told them not to take law in hands and that, the police has no issue as long as the protest is peaceful but we will be forced to take legal action if transportation is disrupted," said DySP Shaikh.

RERA orders builder to pay Rs 4 cr compensation to flat owners
