Briefing the media after assuming office, Polita said she would take all the members into confidence while ushering in the development of the town. She thanked members of the 7-member group, including vice-Chairperson Mario Moraes, Succorina Coutinho, Panzy Coutinho, Udesh Gaonkar, Premdeep Desai and Shashank Desai.
Vice-Chairperson Mario Moraes told the media that the panel led by Polita Carneiro is fully backed by the BJP-led government. He expressed confidence that under Polita’s leadership, Cuncolim will witness all round development in the next one year and half.
Mario also disclosed plans to quit from office on Thursday to pave way for Councilor Shashank Desai.
Meanwhile, Cuncolim MLA Clafacio Dias, who visited the Cuncolim Municipality, congratulated Polita for taking over the CMC reigns by offering his full support to usher in the development of Cuncolim town.
