Poll schedule for Tiswadi, Ponda comunidades announced

The Administrator of Comunidades in North Goa, Gurudas Desai, has announced the schedule for elections to the boards of these community institutions in Tiswadi and Ponda talukas for the triennium 2019-22.  

Seven comunidades of Bandora, Morombim-O-Grande, Goalim-Moula, Shiroda, Ella, Caraim, and Carambolim will go to polls to elect their respective managing committees on December 2.   

The elections will be held at the general meetings of joneiros and shareholders of these comunidades to be held at the usual meeting places at 10.30 am. The joneiros and shareholders will vote to elect the administrative boards (managing committees) wherever there is a contest for the posts.

On December 9, elections will be held in the six comunidades of Bambolim, Verem, Chorao, Goa-Velha, Marcaim and Vadi.   

Comunidades of Taleigao, Murda, Priol, Queula, Betqui, Talaulim-de-Santana, Malar and Bethora will hold elections on December 16 while the same exercise will be conducted in the six comunidades of Querim, Curti, Volvoi, Morombim-O-Pequeno, Goltim and Mercurim on December 23.   

The comunidades of Mandur, Panchawadi, Candola, Cuncoliem, Candeapar and Neura-O-Pequeno will elect their managing committees on December 30 while Borim, Neura-O-Grande, Jua, Naroa and Chimbel comunidades will do the same on January 6. Elections in Renovadi, Boma, Batim, Vagurbem, Navelim, Tiurem, Calapur and Velinga comunidades will be held on January 13 and a week later on January 20, six communidades of Cundaim, Adcolna, Talaulim, Cujira, Corlim and Passo-de-Ambarim will conduct the elections.   

Gancim, Orgao, Curca, Nirancal, Codar, Azossim and Conxem comunidade elections are fixed for January 27.
