Ponda block member of GFP resigns

PONDA
Following the dissolution of the Ponda block of Goa Forward Party after being accused of anti-party work, Rajesh Shet Verenkar resigned as primary member of the party.

“No one has even spoken to me regarding the dissolution of the Ponda block of Goa Forward Party. The recent Zilla Panchayat elections did not have a single GFP candidate and so the question of working against the party does not arise.”

“Some party workers must have voted in favour of their preferred candidate, but it has nothing to do with anti-party activities,” said Verenkar.

Verenkar said he had spoken with his supporters about the development. “After considering their suggestion, I have submitted my resignation. I haven’t decided about my future plans, but will decide at the right time after discussing with them,” he added.
