Carmona Sarpanch Sandra Fernandes on Sunday informed the gram sabha that the draft-Coastal Zone Management Plan (CZMP) 2019 has shown port limits right up to the Carmona health centre.
The issued found mention at the Sunday gram sabha when the Sarpanch informed that the panchayat has received a letter from Benaulim MLA Venzy Viegas that he would like to have a meeting with the Carmona panchayat members and members of the Village Development Committee on the controversial CZMP.
During discussions, the sarpanch told the members that the controversial draft-CZMP has shown port limits, extending right up to the Carmona health centre.
Sandra told the media after the meeting that the panchayat would take further call on the issue after the meeting with the MLA has called with the panchayat and VDC members.
The Carmona VDC had last month discussed the draft-CZMP by roping in resource person Avinash Tavares.
During the course of discussion, Tavares had explained that the port limits have resurfaced on the CZMP with the limits extending right up to the health centre.
