Second accused in case still absconding

Valpoi Police have arrested one person and registered a case against two individuals for attempting to set fire to a liquor shop at Bhuipal. The arrested accused has been identified as Manzar Fakru Beg, while the second accused, Krishna Patil, is absconding.
The complaint was filed by Bhushan Ramesh Vark, a resident of Gavkarwada, Pissurlem, at the Valpoi Police Station. According to the complaint, on January 26, Manzar Fakru Beg and Krishna Patil went to the liquor shop at Bhuipal and tried to set it on fire, causing damage to the property.
During the incident, the CCTV camera installed at the shop was damaged, and minor damage to the property was reported. After registering the complaint, Valpoi Police arrested Manzar Fakru Beg, while efforts are on to trace and arrest the second accused, Krishna Patil.
Giving further details, complainant Bhushan Vark said that both accused had earlier come to the shop on January 16, picked up a quarrel, and created a disturbance. Though they later apologised, they returned on January 26 and attempted to set the shop on fire, causing damage.
Valpoi Police have registered a case against both accused and arrested Manzar Fakru Beg.
Police officials said further investigation is in progress and assured that Krishna Patil will be arrested soon.
