The BJP Porvorim Mandal announced its new Yuva Committee at a function in Porvorim attended by Tourism and IT Minister and Porvorim MLA Rohan Khaunte.
Addressing the gathering, Khaunte expressed confidence that the BJP would win more than 30 seats in the 2027 Goa Assembly elections. He said people were benefiting from the development initiatives of the “double-engine government” led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, resulting in the BJP’s growing popularity across the country.
Khaunte urged youth not to be influenced by rumours on social media or narratives spread by political opponents and called on them to support a party committed to national interest, social welfare and development. He said young people should take the lead in promoting the BJP’s ideology and vision.
BJP Yuva Morcha State President Tushar Kelekar spoke on organisational work, leadership development and social responsibility. Other dignitaries present included BJP State Vice President Kunda Chodankar, Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities Guruprasad Pawaskar, ZP members Sandeep Salgaonkar and Amit Asnodkar, Penha de França Sarpanch Sapnil Chodankar, Socorro Sarpanch Sonia Pednekar, Porvorim Mahila Morcha President Rina Fernandes, Minority Morcha State President Dattaram Redkar, Mandal President Vineet Borkar and Secretary Ashok Shetty.
The Porvorim Yuva Committee will be led by Jagannath Kambli, while Tanvi Vijay Dalvi was appointed president of the Women’s Youth Wing. Newly appointed office-bearers and members were felicitated by Khaunte with BJP saffron shawls.
The committee includes vice presidents Raj Pednekar, Abhijeet Morajkar and Rama Naik; general secretaries Akhilesh Desai, Swagat Naik and Mayur Prabhu; secretaries Kartik Kalangutkar, Dilan Fernandes and Sanat Arlekar, along with 24 committee members.
