Interruption in power supply at District Hospital Mapusa for the entire day on Wednesday forced the doctors to postpone surgeries, while patients had to face a lot of inconvenience. rnThe power supply went off in the morning and when generator was started, it got burnt, plunging the hospital into darkness throughout the day.

However, the power supply was restored late in the evening. In the absence of power supply, the patients in the hospital faced a lot of inconvenience, besides causing inconvenience to hospital staff and workers.
GPCC president Faleiro yet again voiced the support of Congress for the cause of dual citizenship.

PANAJI: “Many Goans who registered their births in Central Registry at Lisbon did so innocently. They are citizens of Portugal as per Portuguese law. Hence, they shouldn’t be penalized by taking away their right to vote. What we need is a central legislation allowing dual citizenship for such persons,” he said while speaking against the curtailment of voting rights of these persons.
