Power rebate scam case: Non-bailable warrants issued against 2 accused

MARGAO
The South Goa District and Sessions Court on Friday issued non-bailable warrants against two accused persons in the power rebate scam case. Sessions Judge Irshad Agha also ordered issuance of a bailable warrant against a witness after the later refused to accept the summons.

When the case was called out for hearing, the Judge found the two accused persons conspicuous by their absence.

Trial in the power rebate scam case has been hit for want of the witnesses, many of the witnesses not found at their place of residence and are believed to have left for their native states.
