VASCO
Former MPDA chairman Krishna Daji Salkar on Thursday said his preference to contest assembly elections from Vasco on the BJP ticket remained unchanged, even though Vasco MLA Carlos Almeida and BJP State President Sadanand Shet Tanavade organised a BJP tour of the constituency.
"I have always maintained that I will contest elections from Vasco and preference will be on the BJP ticket. I am happy that Tanavade saw the sorry state of affairs in Vasco and can judge the capabilities of the BJP MLA who has failed for the last 10 years," said Salkar.
Salkar said the BJP had taken up development all across the State, but only Vasco lacked development works.
"Almeida has himself claimed he cannot be responsible for the failure of the long-pending Vasco KTC bus stand project. Vascokars are now left with no option but to look for a change in leader.”
"There are so many projects like a powerhouse, fish market, KTC bus stand, chief officer's bungalow, etc. that are pending for 10 years. The foundation stone for the fire station building is just an attempt to fool and misguide residents," said Salkar.
