BICHOLIM

A private school in Bicholim was burgled late on Wednesday night.

Thieves broke open the lock of the school office and entered the premises. They ransacked cupboards and scattered documents and other materials, leaving the office in complete disarray.

Some of the tools believed to have been used in the break-in were found at the scene after the burglars fled.

After being informed, Bicholim police rushed to the spot and began an investigation. The police carried out a search in the surrounding area and also called in a dog squad. However, no major clues have been found so far.

It is learnt that a similar theft had taken place at the school earlier as well.

The exact value of cash or property stolen is not yet known. Police investigations are ongoing.
