Verna police on Monday evening busted a prostitution racket and rescued two women from a spa and parlour based in Zuarinagar.
According to information from Verna Police, based on specific prior information, police used a decoy customer and upon confirmation, conducted a raid on a parlour and rescued two women from Delhi and Karnataka.
Verna police also arrested two persons, a 29-year-old Saramodh Sharma, resident of Quepem and native of Uttar Pradesh and 23-year-old Anuj Sharma, resident of Margao and native of Uttar Pradesh in this connection.
Verna PI Ninad Deulkar informed that the Verna police had received information that sexual activities were being conducted in the family parlour under the garb of a saloon. Both the accused have been arrested under section 370, 370(2) of IPC and section 4, 5 and 7 of ITP Act read with 34 IPC. Verna police is further investigating the case.
