Pune youth dies in accident

PERNEM: A 32-year-old native of Pune died, while six other occupants of the car were injured in an accident between their car and a truck at Malpem-Pernem on Friday.

According to Pernem Police, the accident occurred when the SUV car (MH-14-BK-0014) was proceeding from Patradevi highway towards Pernem, while the truck (GA-05-T-1805) was trailing them.

Police added that the truck hit the car near Malpem slope. Hemant Kamte (32) succumbed to injuries, while the other occupants Akash Kamate (25), Swapnil Madik (21), Dhiraj Fulkar (22), Prateek Darekar, car driver Rohit Fate (23) sustained injuries.

Police said all the injured persons were moved to the GMC for medical treatment. Police is investigating the case.
