CANACONA: Terming the move of the five panchas of tabling no-confidence motion against him as a “political ploy”, Loliem-Polem sarpanch Bhushan Prabhugaonkar said it has nothing to do with his stand on IIT or village developments.
“I will face when it is tabled in the meeting,” was the reaction, when informed that a no-confidence motion was moved against him at Canacona BDO office on Friday evening.
“Activities are underway to persuade some of my panchas since last couple of days, especially after BJP announced its Canacona candidate,” Prabhugaonkar told The Goan.
“It is this very political fallout that the politician concerned has now convinced one of my staunch supporters to switch sides and the said panch has become a signatory to the NCM against me. The politician is disillusioned that he is losing ground after being denied the party ticket and wants to fight on his own,” Prabhugaonkar said, without naming any politician.
