MARGAO: It’s now three days since curtains came down on the week-long Purumentachem feast fair on the SGPDA grounds. Sadly, the tonnes of plastic waste that has accumulated on the PDA ground is awaiting clearance by the civic body.
While MMC workers are yet to step in on the SGPDA ground to clear the plastic waste in the last three days, the waste has turned into an eyesore for the thousands of visitors to the PDA market and the Osia Commercial Complex.
Civic officials contended that the plastic waste could not be lifted since the entire gang of workers were engaged and preoccupied with the waste problem staring at the city since the last three days.
