With sewerage manholes overflowing at Arlem-Raia, BJP ST leader Anthony Barbosa, along with local village panchayat panch member Minguelina D’Souza, panch member Xavier Fernandes inspected the manholes with PWD officials on Saturday.
PWD sewerage officials Jose Mascarenhas (AE), Sheetal Gawas (TA) and Joe Rebello (Supervisor) were acquainted about the problems faced by the locals due to the stink of the overflowing sewerage manholes.
The engineers promised to look into the matter and take it on a priority basis. They also visited Arlem Barebhat to check the incomplete sewerage work in the middle of the road carried out by the contractor, which is causing tremendous hardship and is very dangerous to the motorists plying on this road.
