Queues for Griha Aadhar grow long at Margao

Margao Municipal Council (MMC) Chairperson Pooja Naik has requested the government to extend the October 31 deadline for the Griha Aadhar scheme to clear the rush.

The MMC chairperson was reacting after queues of women at the MMC building for income certificates to apply for the Griha Aadhar scheme grew longer on Wednesday.

PANAJI Crime Branch team led by PI Satish Gaude and PI Laxi Amonkar apprehended one Brijesh Kumar of Jaunpur, UP, with 5 kgs ganja in Mapusa worth â‚¹5 lakhs on the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday.The accused stated that he had bought the ganja for the upcoming tourist season in Goa.
