BELAGAVI
With Covid spreading rapidly among politicians and officials, Minister of State for Railways Suresh Anagdi has now tested positive and joins the list of politicians and elected representatives across the state and border to have been infected with the virus.
In his tweet on Friday, Angadi informed that he has tested positive and requested all those who have come in contact with him to get tested.
"I have tested positive today. I am doing fine. Taking the advice of doctors. Requesting all those who have come in close contact with me in the last few days to monitor their health and get tested in case of any symptoms," stated Suresh Angadi, urging all to stay safe and get tested.
It may be recalled that the union minister was active despite the Covid threat and used to meet people regularly. He also used to hold meetings as and when necessary.
He had recently flagged off a Kisan Express and had unveiled the map of Belagavi-Dharwad new railway line, while also stating that the double-tracking issue on the Kulem-Vasco line was expected to be resolved soon.
Angadi has joined the list of Covid affected politicians in Belagavi that includes two MLAs from the city.
