Rallies predicting victory taken out
PONDA: Though the Election Commission of India has banned exit polls, the supporters predicting the victory of their candidates staged rallies in their respective constituencies.
No sooner did the booth-wise calculations of voting was done, many people from Shiroda constituency on Saturday evening staged a rally to the residence of Congress candidate, Subhash Shirodkar. Similarly in Ponda, supporters of Congress candidate Ravi Naik were seen congratulating him in one of his hotels.
Sources informed that supporters of one candidate from Sanvordem constituency were seen bursting fire crackers and also told everyone that their leader has ‘won.’
It's common in political scenario that politicians do calculation of votes once they get the statistics of voting done. On Saturday evening, many people posted on social media about the leaders who will win.
