Hitting out at the Congress on the eve of his departure from the party and entry into the BJP, Dabolim MLA Mauvin Godinho alleged that Opposition Leader Pratapsing Rane and GPCC President Luizinho Faleiro were involved in scams which would be exposed after he entered the BJP.
He was addressing a gathering at the inaugural function of Goa's largest jogger's park at Chicalim in the presence of Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar, Deputy Chief Minister Francis D’Souza, Dabolim MLA Mauvin Godinho, Chicalim Sarpanch Neelima Naik, Deputy Sarpanch Seby Pereira, other panchas, MMC councillors and BJP workers and supporters.
“Rane has failed as leader of opposition and both, he and Faleiro are involved in land scams and other corruption, which I will bring out after joining the BJP,” Godinho said.
Godinho also condemned the Goa Forward party and the Congress for blocking the South Goa Planning and Development Authority meeting, added that the Goa Forward party is only taking Goa backward.
Commenting on the Mopa airport, Godinho said the new airport would create 25,000 jobs to the youth and will cater to an increase in air traffic.
Earlier in his address, Parsekar claimed that the BJP government has carried out developmental works in each and every constituency in the State without any discrimination.
D'Souza complemented the Chicalim communidade for allotting land to construct the Jogger's park.
“The Jogger’s park at Chicalim is a mode for the rest of the State to follow and is one of the biggest jogger's park in the State,” he said.
