A lady scooter ride and the pillion rider sustained injuries after an Ignis car dashed against the two-wheeler at Carmona on Thursday morning.
While 54-year old rider Maria Colaco sustained grievous injuries, the pillion order Adonia Colaco (21) escaped with simple injuries.
The police said the incident occurred near Pirate's Den Restaurant and Bar, Carmona on Thursday morning when the driver of the driver of the Ignis car drove his car in a rash and negligent manner while proceeding from Varca towards Cavelossim endangering human life and safety without taking proper care and caution.
The police said when the car reached near Pirate's Den Restaurant and Bar, Carmona, the vehicle went onto the wrong side and dashed against the Access scooter which was proceeding from Cavelossim towards Varca as a result of which the rider Maria Colaco, and Pillion rider namely Adonia Colaco, both residents of Mobor fell on the road.
The police has registered offence under section 281, 125 (a), 125(b) BNS 2023.
