Mandrem MLA Jit Arolkar has stated that a state-of-the-art Ravindra Bhavan will be built on 50,000 sq mtrs of land in Tuem at a cost of Rs 120 crore.
Speaking at a joint meeting of Ravindra Bhavan committee members, Deputy Director of Art and Culture Milind Mate, Tuem panchayat body and artistes, Arolkar assured that various facilities would be provided to artistes from Pernem taluka.
Arolkar further mentioned that important suggestions have been received from artistes regarding seating arrangements, problems being faced by the artistes, etc.
“Officials and the consultant will be present for a third meeting regarding details of the Ravindra Bhavan. If the artistes approve it, then a tender for the project will be floated. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and Art and Culture Minister Ramesh Tawadkar have assured support and cooperation for this project,” said Arolkar.
Tuem Sarpanch Kavita Salgaonkar mentioned that the multi-purpose Ravindra Bhavan project will completely change the face of Tuem village.
