Margao police have registered an FIR against unknown persons in connection with a theft at a house in Dando-Navelim on the night of December 24. In her complaint, Nancy Fernandes, a resident of Dando-Navelim, said that between the night of December 24 and the early hours of December 25, the accused broke open the rear door of her house and stole a Citizen Eco-Drive Navihawk watch worth over Rs 1 lakh, Rs 50,000 kept in a piggy bank, USD 500, and a CCTV DVR. The total value of the stolen items is around Rs 2 lakh. The FIR has been registered under Sections 305 and 331(2) of the BNS, 2023.
