MARGAO: While reiterating his claim that then AICC general secretary in-charge of Goa Digvijaya Singh had stopped him from forming government in the state after the 2017 Assembly election, senior Congress leader and Navelim MLA Luizinho Faleiro on Wednesday said that Digvijaya had thrice stopped him from giving the letter to the governor staking claim to form the government. Faleiro, who made it to Goa by a chartered flight to be in the Legislative Assembly right on time for the vote of confidence, reiterated his claim when asked whether the situation would have been different in Goa’s politics if Digvijaya Singh had not to stop him from staking claim to form the government. “I had thrice asked Digvijaya Singh that we should hand over the letter to the governor staking claim to form the government, but every time he refused to give the go-ahead signal,”
Faleiro asserted.
