Religious teachers feted
OLD GOA: The Diocesan Catechetical Centre recently celebrated Religion Teachers Day at the Pastoral Institute St Pius X, Old Goa.
The resource person was Fr Daniel Pereira, who took a session on 'Teachers as co-creators.' The Eucharistic celebration was presided by Archbishop Filipe Neri Ferrão. He highlighted the role of a teacher to instill faith in the students through example, forming their faith through prayers and by being humble.
The centre also felicitated 81 teachers from the ABE schools for their contributions.
A short cultural programme was staged by Immaculate Heart of Mary HS, Goa Velha, Jesus and Mary Sarvajanik HS Carambolim and St Theresa HS St Estevao. The cultural programme was anchored by Veera Lopes.
