Motorists and pedestrians have complained of the danger posed by the damaged portion on the Margao station road at the Navelim-Konkan railway police station junction.
They have called upon the PWD and district authorities to take up repairs of the damaged road on priority, claiming that the bad stretch of the road has been the cause of many an accident in the area.
While the bad condition of the road has affected traffic along the Margao railway station-Rawanfond stretch, traffic heading to the Konkan railway police station has been the worst affected on account of the damaged road. "The road has been lying damaged for some time now, but neither the PWD nor any of the authorities have stepped in to restore it," remarked a motorist using the road frequently.
