The repair work on the badly damaged Margao kabrastan road has commenced, with BJP spokesman Urfan Mulla assuring that the entire road will be hot mixed in December along with the beautification of the burial ground.
The PWD started the repair of the kabrastan road as the pre-monsoon showers have ruled out hot mixing of the road in question.
PWD Minister Deepak Pauskar’s OSD and the BJP spokesman Urfan Mulla visited the Pajifond Kabrastan on Monday noon and got the PWD to repair the badly damaged road as a stop gap arrangement.
Ufran later told the media that since the pre-monsoon showers have hit the state, the road will be taken up for hot mixing either at November end or in the first week of December this year.
On the beautification of the kabrastan, he said the proposal to construct a compound wall and beautify the burial ground will be taken up after the Jama Masjid committee hands over the documents.
“After the PWD is in receipt of the documents, estimates will be prepared for the two works,” Urfan said, adding that the works will be completed by November-December this year.
