Vasco MLA Krishna Salkar on Tuesday asked the PWD to replace old water pipelines at New Vaddem.
He was speaking to reporters after a joint inspection with PWD officials to address the issues of water supply scarcity faced by people in parts of New Vaddem.
“There was a need for a long-term solution to address the issue which had been confronting residents for a few days now. We held an inspection with PWD officials, Water Department Executive Engineer Vishwamber Bhende, JE Yeshwant and Gaokar at Gazi stop in New Vaddem to discuss and review the issues faced by residents at New Vaddem,” Salkar said.
“The people have been facing acute water shortage for the last few days and there has to be an immediate response to the issue,” he added.
