Less than a week after a major breakdown of the main pipeline at Bhoma disrupted water supply to Tiswadi taluka, the Public Works Department (PWD) has notified another spell of restricted supply to the taluka on January 4 and 5 due to urgent maintenance work on the pipeline.
A statement released by the PWD said, Panaji, Taleigao, St Cruz and St Andre constituencies including all defence establishments, industrial establishments and Goa Medical College will get a restricted water supply on January 4 and 5.
It said the shutdown is being arranged to facilitate urgent maintenance on the 900 mm diameter conveying mains at Khauntepaine in Priol.
