Retaining wall being built in Sancoale — Construction of the retaining wall underway near the St Joseph Vaz Sanctuary road in Sancoale.

Heeding to the villagers request, the Sancoale Panchayat finally took up the construction of the retaining wall, near the St Joseph Vaz Sanctuary road.

The retaining wall was necessary since there was every possibility of the vehicles drifting down the narrow stretch on the busy Cortalim-Zuari Nagar highway.

Sarpanch Ramakant Borkar when contacted said the the retaining wall apart from broadening the stretch will curtail accidents on the busy road.

He also informed that the second phase of the construction will be taken up soon.
