The St Andre Congress block organized a meeting to protest against rising prices of petrol, diesel, LPG and other essential items at Agassaim market area, on Sunday.
Various speakers lambasted the government for failing to provide succour to the people who are already suffering due to Covid.
“The people are already suffering due to Covid and to add to the misery the government has added burden to the suffering by hiking prices of various essential commodities, including LPG,” GPCC president Girish Chodankar informed and urged the people to teach the BJP a lesson in the forthcoming assembly elections in the State.
St Andre Congress leader Tony Fernandes and others also spoke on the occasion.
