The Revenue Department has hiked the land conversion fees with a notification issued by the Revenue Department revising the fee structure.
As per the notification, there will be a Rs 20 per square meter increase across all categories, including residential, special residential, commercial, special commercial, industrial, recreational zone, traffic and transport zone, and public (Institutional and Government).
Contrary to the previous three classifications based on size” not exceeding 500 square meters, from 500 square meters to 2,000 square meters, and above 2,000 square meters”the new notification introduces only two categories: areas not exceeding 500 square meters and areas exceeding 500 square meters.
Under the revised Code, which will be effective April 1, for areas exceeding 500 square meters, the charges will be double the fee charged for land below 500 square meters.
