During the 2022 assembly polls in Bardez taluka, the Revolutionary Goans Party (RGP) emerged as a notable player, fielding candidates in six constituencies except Porvorim.
Despite not clinching any seats, the party garnered an average of 12,000 votes across these constituencies. Notably, RGP's leader, Manoj Parab, who contested from Tivim, secured 4,959 votes.
Now, again the RGP has for the first time opted to contest independently in the parliamentary elections. The pivotal question now looms: will the RGP manage to augment its electoral performance from the assembly polls?
The RGP's presence adds a layer of complexity to the already intense three-way contest, potentially altering the electoral dynamics in Bardez taluka. While its influence on voters remains uncertain, the party's ability to sway votes could either inject vibrancy into the electoral process or disrupt the prospects of other contenders.
