MAPUSA: A 51-year-old rider from Cansa-Tivim died following a mishap between a scooter and a car at Karaswada-Mapusa.
The accident took place on the highway near Vrindavan Hospital on September 30. Mario D’Lima died while undergoing treatment at GMC Hospital on Thursday.
According to reports, the mishap occurred as Avinash Nagvekar was driving a tourist taxi from Peddem to Karaswada, while D’Lima was heading in the opposite direction.
A motorist passing by shifted D’Lima to Mapusa District Hospital before he was moved to GMC, where he died during treatment.
Mapusa police are investigating the case.
