ASSOCHAM hosts Agriculture Conclave 2025 in Goa

The ASSOCHAM Goa State Council, in collaboration with Goa IDC, NABARD and the Government of Goa, organised the Agriculture Conclave 2025 on 8 October at Taj Vivanta, Panaji. The event focused on climate-resilient farming, technology integration, innovation and sustainable infrastructure, besides promoting agri startups and strengthening agro industries in Goa.

The conclave brought together policymakers, experts and industry leaders for panel discussions on innovation, post-harvest management and new initiatives such as the Goa Warehousing & Logistics Scheme and PMFME Scheme. A roundtable session discussed strengthening pre- and post-harvest systems and developing a policy framework for Goa’s agriculture sector.

Industries Minister Mauvin Godinho inaugurated the event and released a knowledge report titled “Empowering Small-Scale Players in India’s Food Supply Chain can unleash Rs 1000 crore” prepared by ASSOCHAM and Primus Partners India. He highlighted the need for technology and innovation in agriculture and called for stronger linkages between tourism, agriculture and food processing to boost agripreneurship.

Guest of Honour Arjun Mohan IAS, Secretary to the Governor, and Agriculture Director Sandeep Foldessai shared insights on upcoming agricultural initiatives, while keynote speaker Sandeep Dharkar discussed strategies to enhance Goa’s agro-economy.
