Right information at right time is vital: Rane

Opposition Leader and Shri Bhumika Shikshan Saunstha Poriem Chairman Pratapsingh Rane said right information at right time is the need of the hour.

He was addressing students at a rally staged in Poriem on the occasion of World Aids Day. A special programme and an awareness rally was staged by Life Line Foundation in collaboration with Shri Bhumika Higher Secondary School, Poriem.

Speaking further, Rane who was the chief guest, appealed to the students to get authentic information about AIDS. He emphasised that right and exact information about sex education is need of hour.

He advised students not to indulge in any harmful activities which can ruin their life. “Prevention is always better than cure,” he added.

Later, he flagged off the rally, which went around the village along with locals and NGOs.

Dr Sadanand S Hinde (principal, Shri Bhumika Higher Secondary School), Dr Dayanand Rao (president, Life Line Foundation), Shaikh Ashpak, Shaikil Shaikh, S L Chari, teaching and non-teaching staff of Shri Bhumika HSS were present on the occasion.

A talk on the goals and objectives of the programme was presented by Dr Dayanand Rao.

The rally was staged under the guidance and supervision of S L Chari, Ratnadeep Verenkar, Nitin Naik, Santosh Gawas, Shravya Narvekar, Prathamesh Sakhalkar, Sneha Vaigankar, Shaila Padwalkar, Rohidas Rane, Prakash Gawas, Anand Majik, Gurudas Gosavi, Ankush Majik, Ankush Kharpalkar, Ramchandra Mhalshekar and the members of Life Line Foundation.
