Road work begins in Harvalem
BICHOLIM: Sakhali MLA Dr Pramod Sawant recently laid the foundation stone for an internal road work at Harvalem village.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Sawant said he had fulfilled the long-pending demands of villagers.
Harvalem Sarpanch Sagar Malik said the work would be undertaken by the PWD at a cost of Rs 3 crore.
Others present at the function included Harvalem Deputy Sarpanch Sharada Malik, Panch members Sanjay Naik, Priya Thakur and Mahesh Divkar, the contractor Shashidharan, engineer Rajesh Fulari and villagers.
Earlier, Sagar Malik welcomed the gathering while Priya Thakur later proposed the vote of thanks.
