The Cuncolim police have registered a case of robbery in connection with the assault against one Lalsab Kalegar, a resident of Demani-Cuncolim.
In his complaint, Kalegar alleged that he was attacked by four persons, two from Rumdamol housing board and one from Margao before decamping with cash of Rs 34,000 from his person.
He further alleged that the accused assault him on his back and shoulder with an iron rod, while the third accused attacked him with glass bottle on the left temple region of his head.
The police are investigating the case.
