“The main demand of the members of the meeting was that of the nature of the changes made between the 2001 and 2021 plan. We want to know exactly what are the changes made. So we told the Chief Town Planner (CTP) to compile all this information and show it in the next meeting,” D’Souza told media persons after emerging from the three-hour long meeting.
The guidelines for rectification of the Regional Plan will be drawn up only after the data is available, D’Souza said.
The Town and Country Planning (TCP) department has already categorised the various types of suggestions, objections and proposals for rectification they have received into 11 broad categories.
The categories include demands for new settlement areas in Eco-I, settlement in non Eco-I zones, restore RP 2001 settlement in Eco-I, restore RP 2001 settlement in non-Eco-I, individual rectifications (personal dwellings, temples etc), fresh demands and contradictions filed by village panchayats, errors by the forest department, commitments in the form of gazetted changes, sanads, etc, objections
