Anjuna police have registered a theft case after mobile phones, laptops, watches and other belongings worth around Rs 2.95 lakh were allegedly stolen from a rented villa in Arpora. According to police, the incident took place on August 9 at Saga de Arboria by Saga Stays.
The complaint was filed by Bengaluru resident Kushagra Patel, who was staying at the villa. An unidentified person allegedly entered the room and stole three mobile phones, two laptops, two wristwatches and a shoulder bag belonging to Patel and his friends. The stolen items include a Samsung S25 Ultra worth around Rs 75,000, a Samsung S23 Ultra worth Rs 45,000 and an iPhone 17 valued at about Rs 70,000. Two laptops, an HP ZBook and a Dell Latitude 3450, worth around Rs 50,000 each, were also allegedly stolen.
Other stolen items include a Casio stainless steel wristwatch, a Noise ColorFit Ultra Buzz smartwatch and a black Nike shoulder bag, collectively worth around Rs 5,000. The accused allegedly fled with the stolen items, causing a total loss of around Rs 2.95 lakh.
Anjuna police have registered a case under Section 305 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023. PSI Nitesh Shingadi is conducting further investigation.
